This free electronic learning platform provides Evidence-based information as high quality content that is divided in two main learning tools: a textbook containing theoretical background information and a skills repository for practical guidance.
Multimedia materials such as audio/video recordings, illustrations, posters and ready to use presentations are captured in a database and illustrate the website.
Other databases in the system provide a medical terminology glossary, references and self-evaluation tests.
All the materials in the databases can be used as such, by navigating through the website or can be integrated to illustrate and/or create new courses.
To assure the continuation of MedSkills, a WIKI tool is implemented in the operational website, which allows users to contribute new materials to the website.
